York is a magical city of medieval roads, timbered buildings and soaring church towers. Many visitors are so enchanted that they choose to become permanent residents. York Minster Yorkshire’s most famous building, York Minster is one of the largest and finest cathedrals in the United Kingdom. This truly stunning building is one of the most visited attractions in Northern England. There is free entry to the cathedral although you are invited to make a small donation. The National Railway Museum The National Railway Museum is a wonderful celebration of trains and railways with terrific exhibits such as The Rocket to admire. A real treat for kids and adults alike.
