| Choose a county | by Molly Davidson Known as the Gateway to the West Country, much of Wiltshire has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with some of the best inland views to be found in the United Kingdom. But what else does the county have to offer? In no particular order, here are our suggestions for things to do in and attractions in Wiltshire: Stonehenge, Nr Amesbury
Longleat, Warminster Longleat really is one of the best days out not just in Wiltshire but in the entire country. A stunning house full of treasures, beautiful expansive gardens and one of the past safari parks in Europe. It really does have something for everyone. Entry to Longleat is £18 for adults and £14 for children from February through to November. You can choose to pay for the attractions individually but this will invariably cost you more. Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury One of the greatest cathedrals in the country, Salisbury isn't just another church. Not only does it have the largest spire in England but it also contains the original Magna Carta. Admission is £3.80 for adults and £2 for the children from 7.15am to 6.15pm every day of the week, every week of the year. However, always check to see if there is a service on before you go.
