There's a picturesque village around every corner and the historic towns of Arundel and Chichester are simply not to be missed. Here are some suggestions for a great day out in West Sussex: Arundel Castle, Arundel
WWT Arundel, Arundel This marvelous open space sits below Arundel castle and is home to a huge variety of wildlife with many rare species on show. If you like birds, you'll wont find a better day out in England. Admission is £5.75 for adults and £3.50 for the children every day from 9.30am to 5.30pm. Petworth House, Petworth Petworth House is one of the finest 17th century buildings in the county and is home to a large collection of wonderful art work. The Capability Brown designed gardens are featured in many of Turner's most famous paintings. Entry to the house is currently £7 for adults and £4 for the kids from 11am till 5.30pm every day of the week except Thursdays and Fridays.
