| Choose a county | by Sheila Richardson The county of Surrey is probably better known for it's expensive houses than its wealth of visitor attractions. But that doesn't mean there aren't any. Indeed, far from it. Surrey is every bit as beautiful as Kent to the east and Sussex to the south with just as many great days out to enjoy. From stunning gardens to majestic places, Surrey is more than a match for its county neighbours. Here are some suggestions for things to do in Surrey: Loseley House & Park, Guildford
Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey Hampton Court Palace is perhaps Surrey's most famous visitor attraction. The magnificent palace is equally matched by the wonderful riverside gardens. Admission is £11.80 for adults and £7.70 for the children 9.30am to 6pm Tuesday to Saturday. On Mondays the Palace closes a little later at 10.15am. For more information call 0752 603300 or go to www.hrp.org
Painshill Park, Cobham Painshill Park is a stunning landscaped park with a wonderful fifteen acre lake.
