South Wales is a wonderful combination of majestic countryside, glorious coastline and of course the impressive Welsh capital city. But what else does this area have to offer? In no particular order, here are our suggestions for things to do in South Wales:

The Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

A tour of the Millennium Stadium is a must for all rugby and football fans. One of the greatest sporting arenas in Europe, the Millennium Stadium really is a sight to behold. Cardiff Castle, Cardiff

A majestic structure situated in the heart of the city, Cardiff Castle is one of the most popular attractions in Wales. Entry to the castle is currently £6 for adults and £3.70 for the kids from 9.30am till 6pm every day from March through to the end of October. National Botanic Garden of Wales, Llanarthne

This huge botanical garden is one of the finest in Britain with fantastic parklands and open spaces complemented by stunning views. Admission is currently £6.95 for adults and £3.50 for children every day from 10am to 6pm. From October till March the garden closes a little earlier at 4.30pm. Big Pit National Mining Museum, Torfean

Big Pit Mining Museum takes you almost 100 metres underground to witness a way of life that has all but died out in the United Kingdom. Techniquest, Cardiff

Techniquest is an interactive science museum popular with children and grown ups alike. Admission is currently £6.90 for adults and £3.80 for the kids.
