Nevski Memorial Cathedral

Nevski Memorial Cathedral was built in honour of the 200,000 Russian soldiers who died in the 1870s whilst fighting for Bulgarian independence. The imposing cathedral dominates this area of the city. Inside you will find Italian mosaics, huge chandeliers and a sea of marble. The cathedral is Sofia's most famous landmark and one of its most visited attractions.

Mount Vitosha

Mount Vitosha is a 2,200m high ridge that towers over the city of Sofia. This beautiful wooded mountain is easily accessible by public transport, chairlift or cable car. It's a great day out and offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Sofia. Well worth the journey.

Natural History Museum

The Natural History Museum is Bulgaria's most celebrated museum. Located juts a few miles from Sofia, the museum houses an impressive collection of gold and silver artifacts as well as traditional folk clothing and much much more.
