Cathedral, Monreale This 12th century cathedral, is one of the most popular attractions on the island of Sicily. Located just 6 miles south of Palermo, the stunning building is adorned with spectacular mosaics and glorious bronze doors. Climb up the tower to the roof for an amazing view of the coast and the countryside.
Museo Archeologico Regionale The Archaeological Museum houses a wide range of objects and exhibits from the fifth century BC onwards. With all the great periods in history covered, from Roman mosaics to Etruscan art, this highly recommended museum is a great lesson in Sicily's rich and diverse past. A cultural delight.
