Copacabana

The Maracana

The Maracana is one of the world's great sporting arenas. The home of Brazilian football, this huge stadium can hold up to 200,000 spectators. Guided tours take you around the changing rooms, the presidential box and of course on to the pitch itself. Highly recommended, even for non football fans.

The Corcovado

Corcovado Hill is home to the 30m-high Christ the Redeemer statue which overlooks the city below. This iconic image of Rio was completed 1931, and offers offering panoramic views across Guanabara Bay. One of the most impressive statues in the world and a Rio attraction not to be missed.

Pao de Acucar

Pao de Acucar, or Sugar Loaf Mountain as it is known in the English speaking world, is the granite peak of over Rio’s south-eastern corner. Offering incredible views of the city, the beaches and the ocean, this is another truly special place to visit. Cable cars ferry visitors to the top, so you can enjoy the view on the way up as well.
