Charles Dickens Birthplace Museum

The great author Charles Dickens was born is this very house in 1812. It may look small on the outside but it will take you at least an hour to absorb everything inside. Portsmouth Historic Dock is home to a host of fascinating ships including the Mary Rose and HMS Victory.
