Merry Maidens Stone Circle This 24 metre stone circle contains nineteen stones, each of which represent maidens that were turned to stone according to tradition. Restored in the 1860s, this is one of the most famous sites in Cornwall and well worth a visit. The site can be found just off the B3315 near Penzance.
Pendeen Lighthouse Pendeen Lighthouse is one of the most dramatic lighthouses in the county sitting majestically on a wonderful stretch of Cornwall coastline. The imposing building is a great place to look out for seals, kestrels and other wildlife. On a clear day you can see for miles and miles. |
