River and Rowing Museum, Henley The River and Rowing Museum explores the sport of rowing as well as the River Thames and the town of Henley. The stunning building was designed by revered architect David Chipperfield. The museum opens every day from 10am to 5.30pm. From September to April it closes a little earlier at 5pm. Broughton Castle, Banbury Broughton was the wonderful location to the Oscar winning movie Shakespeare In Love. The majestic moated castle is well matched by the lovely gardens and extensive parkland. Admission is £5.50 for adults and £2.50 on Wednesdays and Sundays 2pm to 5pm from May to September. In the summer the castle also opens on Thursdays.
