But there really is so much more to this wonderful English county. With the Oxfordshire Cotswolds to the west and the beautiful Cherwell Valley to the north, it's well worth leaving the city behind and exploring the rest of this fine slice of England. Here are some suggestions for a great day out in Oxfordshire: Blenheim Palace, Woodstock
Modern Art Oxford, Oxford Modern Art Oxford is a terrific museum dedicated to contemporary and experimental art with works by Yoko Ono an Tracey Emin on display. Cotswold Wildlife Park, Burford Cotswold Wildlife Park has an impressive collection of birds, animals and insects for all the family to enjoy. There are also lovely gardens to explore. Entry to the park is currently £8 for adults and £5.50 for the kids from 10am till 4.30pm every day of the week. In the Winter months the park closes an hour earlier at 3.30pm.
