| Choose a city | Oslo is the largest city in Norway and is also the Scandinavian country's capital. This attractive city has become increasingly popular with British visitors seeking a slightly more unusual city break. And why not? The city offers everything you would expect from a nation's capital from terrific restaurants and shops to interesting historic buildings and museums. Take a look at some of the main tourist attractions in Oslo: Holmenkollen Ski Museum and Jump
Vigeland Park Vigeland Park is an incredible park filled with the beautiful sculptures by the park's creator Gustav Vigland. With over 200 monumental statues and fountains, there is something interesting around every corner. The park is Oslo's most popular recreational area and it's the perfect area for a stroll or maybe even a picnic.
Edvard Munch Museum The Munch Museum houses a tremendous collection of works by Norway's most celebrated artist Edvard Much. Home to such priceless pieces as The Scream, this museum is without doubt one of the finest in Norway, if not the whole of Scandinavia.
Akershus Fortress The Akershus Fortress stands in guard over the harbour at the head of the Oslofjord. This 13th century military building was formerly a royal residence, as well as the city’s stronghold. The building now houses several museums and provides terrific views out to sea. |
