Holdenby House is one of the finest residences in the county with lovely gardens to enjoy. There is also a large falconry centre which includes the very rare black eagle. Cottesbrooke Hall, Northampton

Believed to be the setting for Jane Austen's Mansfield Park, Cottesbrooke is a wonderful private house with equally beautiful gardens. Admission is £6 for adults and £3 for the kids. Opening times are a little restrictive with visitors only welcome on Thursdays from 2pm to 5.30pm. In May and June doors are also open on Wednesdays.
