| Choose a city | Nice is a lovely sea-side city in southern France located between Marseille and Genoa. This major tourist centre is one of the most popular holiday resorts on the French Riviera. It's a glorious city to visit at any time of year but particularly when the sun is shining. Take a look at some of the most visited attractions in Nice: Museum of Modern & Contemporary Art
Opening hours of the museum are 9am-6pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
Musée Océanographique Musée Océanographique, or Oceanographic Museum, is an interesting attraction combining whale skeletons and other such objects with an excellent aquarium. So even if you get a little bored with the older style exhibits upstairs, you can just nip downstairs to see some slightly more exciting attractions. One of the most popular things to do in this area of France.
St-Tropez St-Tropez is the South of France's playground. As soon as the summer season begins, this small fishing village is overrun with Europe's rich and powerful seeking a little fun in the sun. Thankfully, this exclusive beach resort is also open to mere mortals such as you and I. It's a great place to people watch and, if you're lucky, you may even spot the odd celebrity or two.
Chappelle du Rosaire This beautiful chapel was designed by the great artist Matisse to say thank you to the nuns who cared for him. Regarded as one of the most important pieces of art in the South of France, this lovely building is highly recommended. The views from the chapel will take your breath away. |
