Liverpool Cathedral is one of the most recognizable buildings in England. The huge grand organ you will find inside is almost as impressive as the cathedral itself. Admission is free for everyone although donations are most welcome. The cathedral is open from 8am to 6pm every day subject to services. Tate Liverpool, Liverpool

The Tate Liverpool is definitely worth a few hours of your time with a real mixture of art and design to enjoy. Admission is free for everyone although the exhibitions are £4 for adults and £3 for children. The Tate opens from 10am to 5.50pm every day except Monday. Knowsley Safari Park, Prescot

Knowsley Safari Park is one of the North West's most popular visitor attractions. The five mile long drive gets you up close and personal with everything from lions to wallabies. Admission is £9 for adults and £6 for the kids every day from 10am till 4pm. In the winter months the park close an hour earlier at 3pm.
