Penshurst Place, Penshurst Penshurst Place is a marvelous mediaeval house surrounded by lovely gardens and Kent countryside. The huge great hall is probably the highlight of show, although the toy museum is also fascinating. Admission is £7 for adults and £5 for the kids every day from midday till 5pm. Canterbury Cathedral, Canterbury Canterbury Cathedral is one of the greatest religious buildings in the world. Inside and out, the home of Christianity in England is truly spectacular. Admission is £6 for adults and £4.50 for the kids (subject to change) every day from 9am till 6.30pm. In the winter months the cathedral closes a little earlier at 5.30pm. Why not try the many things to do in East Sussex or days out in Brighton. There are historic sites such as Arundel plus wonderful country estates like Petworth House and of course terrific coastline and countryside. You could also try the many wonderful days out in Essex.
