Royal Scottish Academy This impressive structure was dramatically renovated at the beginning of the 21st century and now provides a terrific exhibition space to show off the thousands of beautiful pieces from the likes of Monet and Titian. For more details phone0131 225 6671.
Scottish Parliament
The National Gallery The National Gallery contains a wonderful collection of some of the finest Scottish and European paintings. Entry is free for all and the gallery opens daily 10am to 5pm. The sheer wealth of great works is quite incredible from Byzantine masterpieces right through to the early 20th century. Telephone 0131 624 6200 for more details.
