Not only does it have some of the best calm sandy beaches in England but it also has some of the wildest rugged coastline. And then of course when you venture inland you have the baroness of Dartmoor and some of the prettiest villages in the country. There is a multitude of things to do and see. Plymouth Dome, Plymouth This modern museum of Plymouth has an excellent variety of exhibits and activities for children and adults alike. Admission is £4.70 for adults and £3.25 for the children every day from 10am to 5pm. From November to March the dome is only open from 10am to 4pm from Tuesday to Saturday. Powderham Castle, Kenton In a beautiful setting, Powderham Castle is well worth a visit with its stately rooms and beautiful furnishings. The castle also has a secret garden and a children’s railway. Entry to the castle is currently £7 for adults and £4 for the kids from 10am till 5.30pm Sunday to Friday from Easter through to October.
