But what else does the county have to offer? In no particular order, here are our suggestions for things to do in Derbyshire: Donington Park Motor Car Collection, Castle Donington
Chatsworth House, Matlock Wonderful antiques and treasures fill this beautiful house, which also has a maze, and much more in its impressive gardens. Entry to the house costs £9 for adults and £3.50 for the kids. Entry to the garden costs £5.50 for adults and £2.50 for kids. Chatsworth House is open from 11am to 6pm from March through to December. National Tramway Museum, Crich This may not sound like the most exciting day out but you might just be surprise yourself. The museum has a huge collection of trams including horse drawn and steam powered varieties which are displayed on period streets. It's like taking a step back in time. Beehive Farm Lakes, Roliston Beautiful lakes and woodland where you can relax amongst mother nature at her finest or give your dog a great workout along the seemingly never ending trails. Admission is just £1 for adults and 50 pence for children and the lakes are open every day of the year from 9:30 to 5pm on Monday and Saturday and to 4pm on Sundays.
