Brantwood, Coniston The home of John Ruskin sits is nearly 300 acres of beautiful Cumbrian countryside. As you would expect, the house is packed full of some of Ruskin’s best work as well as many of his personal possessions. Admission is £5.50 for adults and just £1 for kids every day from 11am till 5.30pm. During the winter Brantwood only opens from Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 4.30pm.
