Wonderful museum charting the lives and times of perhaps the greatest comedy duo in history. And if you’re wondering why the museum is in Ulverston, a certain Stan Laurel was born there way back in 1890. The home of John Ruskin sits is nearly 300 acres of beautiful Cumbrian countryside. As you would expect, the house is packed full of some of Ruskin’s best work as well as many of his personal possessions. Admission is £5.50 for adults and just £1 for kids every day from 11am till 5.30pm. During the winter Brantwood only opens from Wednesday to Sunday 11am to 4.30pm.
