| Choose a county | by Molly Davidson Incorporating the Northern tip of the beautiful Peak District, Cheshire is a lovely place to visit. With more canals than any other county and dozens of picturesque villages to explore, it's a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of nearby Liverpool and Manchester. But what else does the county have to offer? In no particular order, here are our suggestions for things to do in Cheshire: Tatton Park, Knutsford
Chester Zoo, Upton-by-Chester Undoubtedly one of the biggest and best zoos in the United Kingdom. The huge site contains nearly 8000 animals as well as stunning gardens. Entry to the zoo is currently £13 for adults and £9.50 for the kids from 10am till dusk every day of the year except Christmas Day. For further details call 01244 390280 or go to www.chesterzoo.org
Lyme Park, Stockport This majestic house combines English and Italian design and was featured in the television version of Pride and Prejudice. Admission is £6.20 for adults and £3.10 for children from April through to October.
