The Chain Bridge The Chain Bridge is the most recognizable bridge in Budapest. This amazing construction, designed by Count István Széchenyi, is guarded by stone lions and comes to life at night when a multitude of lights illuminate its beauty. The is one of the city’s great icons and a must see on any trip to Budapest.
The Danube No trip to Budapest would be complete without a cruise along the Danube. You can take a short trip across the water or you can cruise along for miles and miles on a day trip. Visegrád Tours are highly recommended and will will take you on a trip to Visegrád, a settlement on the west bank of the Danube Bend. The first cruise departs at 11am and the last cruise leaves at 10pm.
Ludwig Museum Ludwig Museum is now located in the Palace of Arts on the south Danube embankment. This is Hungary’s leading museum of modern art featuring works by the likes of Picasso and Andy Warhol. The museum also explores Hungarian art over the last fifty years. Opening hours are from 10am-8pm Tuesday to Saturday. |
