talking about yourself all night is not going to win any prizes

Dating can be daunting and dreadful just as easy as it can be engaging and exciting. But for many women, it's the only way to try to find that special man they're looking for.

First dates in particular can be less than enjoyable. What should I wear? What should talk about? Where should we go? Fortunately, there are some simple steps you can take to make your date everything it should be...

Comfort is the key
Try to ensure the date involves something you actually enjoy. This sounds like a no-brainer but millions of women end up doing exactly the opposite. For example if you don't like Indian food don't go to an Indian restaurant, even he suggests it. Suggest a restaurant you know you will enjoy.

By all means do something you haven't done before. This will make even more excited about the date. But know yourself. If you don't like the great outdoors, you probably wont enjoy going for a walk in a country park.

Activity dates help with the conversation
On some dates, the conversation flows but on others it can be stop start at best. However, this isn't always a good indication of what's a successful date and what isn't. For example, you may be having dinner with you ideal man but if you're both nervous their may be lulls in the conservation.

The best solution to this problem is to make a date an activity. For example going to the cinema gives you two hours to rest and relax as well as something to talk about later.

Negativity isn't a positive
Don't be critical of everything on your date. Even if the food isn't great, don't go on about it. Negativity breads negativity and soon you'll both just want to go home. Keep smiling and always look on the bright side - you'll create a much better impression.
