Continued from page 1 5. Stub out your smoking habit It's a hard life being a smoker. Soon you'll have to turn off all the lights and shut the curtains if you want to light up. However, there's no escape from the fact that it's extremely bad for many aspects of your health including that of your mouth. Not only does is cause awful breath and staining of the teeth but it can lead to gum disease and much much worse. Nobody likes going to the dentist probably because of what he might have to do to you. However, in terms of the health of your mouth, he is your right hand man. Not only will he keep your teeth in tip top condition but he will help detect disease and infection before it has a chance to develop. Failure to have a dental check up once of twice a year is really asking for trouble. Some people will get away with it but others wont. Is it really a risk worth taking? |
