If you don't have a lot of money to spend on clothes (and let's be honest, most of us don't) you should think about making black the base colour of your wardrobe.

Not only are black clothes slimming and stain resistant but they also possess a timeless style which few other colours can replicate.

Black is also fantastically versatile. It can be worn at any occasion and it goes well with almost every other colour.

So when money is a little tight, always bet on black.
