William Christopher Smith Jr. was born in Philadelphia, USA on September 25th 1968. He made his first step on the road to stardom when he met aspiring musician Jeff Townes at a party. The pair formed the rap double act DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince, and several hit records quickly followed.

Will decided to try his hand at acting in 1990 when he was offered the role in a new sitcom to be called The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The show was a huge success lasting for six series and opening the door to Hollywood.

After an impressive performance in Six Degrees of Separation (1993), Will entered a magical period of his career where everything he touched turned to gold. Consecutive box office blockbusters Bad Boys (1995), Independence Day (1996) and Men In Black (1997), propelled Will to the very top of his profession.

Since then Will has cemented his position as one of the biggest stars in the world with movies such as Ali (2001) and Hitch (2005).
