Julie Walters wants to appear in Corrie

Actress and comedian Julie Walters has revealed that she would love to make an appearance in Coronation Street.

The star of Callender Girls and the Harry Potter movies said:

"Corrie was the very first thing I ever watched, from the age of 11. That’s why it is my favourite," Julie told The Sun. "I’m very tempted. I wonder if they would ask me. I'd love to be behind the bar at The Rovers.

The 57-year-old star would be particularly interested in appearing as a new lover for hunky shopkeeper Dev Alahan. She says she would like.

"... a little affair with somebody. I would not say no to Dev - in a little bit of a tryst."
