Kym's Corrie scenes made her brother cry

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has revealed that her emotional scenes on the ITV soap make her brother cry.

The former pop star, who plays barmaid Michelle Connor, was surprised that her brother was getting so involved in her storylines. She explains:

"My older brother Dave is a bit of a hard nut. He's very very protective of me and my sister."

"He's become a big fan of the show since I joined and when it all came out that Michelle's lover Sonny had had a gay fling with Sean, he sent a text saying 'Had a little tear there, babe.'"

"Ha ha! I broke the Ice Man! I just hope that I can make him bawl with all the emotional storylines that Michelle has got in the future."
