Who would've thought the joker from Take That would become one of the most successful men in UK music history. Gary Barlow certainly didn't. It seems we just can't get enough of his cheeky smile and perfect servings of pop. We just wish he'd stop moaning all the time.

Biography

Robert Williams was born in Stoke On Trent, England on February 13th 1974. After showing a flair for entertaining as a boy, he auditioned for a part in a new boy band when he was sixteen. He was accepted, the band became Take That and Robbie was on his way to stardom.

1. Cavorting with Nicole Kidman in the video of his song Something Stupid. Rumour has it the two stars continued their shenanigans well after the cameras' stopped rolling.

Three Things You Never Knew

1. Robbie's full name is Robert Peter Maximillian Williams. Doesn't quite suit him. Or maybe it does.

2. He originally wanted to be an actor but then saw a newspaper advert for looking for a someone to join a new pop group. He auditioned. He was accepted. And the rest is history.

3. He's a huge fan of the band Queen. The title of his hit single Let Me Entertain You was also the name of Queen song from their 1978 Jazz album. However the two songs are completely different.
