Introduction

Orlando Bloom is the British actor who shot to fame as Legolas in the Lord of the Rings trilogy of movies. He has replaced Leo DiCaprio as the favourite of teenage girls across the world.

Orlando has enjoyed a meteoritic rise to fame and with those good looks it's hardly surprising. He may be too pretty for some tastes but the majority of women adore him. His career stalled slightly with the failure of Kingdom of Heaven but he's still one of the hottest actors in Hollywood.

Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom was born in Canterbury, England on January 13th 1977. After studying poetry and prose as a teenager, he joined the National Youth Theatre and thereafter the British American Drama Academy. He made his screen debut in the movie Wilde (1997).
