Australian cricketer Shane Warne is to appear in a cameo role on the television series Neighbours.
Shane, who has already filmed his scenes, will feature in two episodes that will air in UK towards the end of the year. The cricket star will appear in two episodes which involve The Shane Warne Foundation, the charity the sportsman set up to help seriously ill and underprivileged children.
Shane is delighted to be paying a visit it Ramsay Street. The cricket star said, "Growing up, I watched Neighbours and now my kids do too... It's going to be a lot of fun being on one of Australia's longest running series here and in the UK."
The Neighbours cast and crew were said to be equally thrilled when Shane turned up at the Ramsey Street set. Shane is one of Australia's most popular sportsmen and has been described as the David Beckham from down under.
