| Keanu Reeves Biography Keanu Charles Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon on September 2nd 1964. He moved to New York as a young boy with his mother and sister. He dropped out of school to pursue his dream of becoming an actor and he made his debut in 1985 in the television show Letting Go.
However, his big break came when he was cast in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989). The cult movie spawned a sequel and a television series and made Keanu a star.
In the years which followed, Keanu appeared in a series of successful movies including Point Break (1991), Dracula (1992) and Speed (1994). In 1999 he was cast as Neo in a new film called The Matrix. The movie became a worldwide phenomenon and led to two equally successful sequels. |
