John Christopher Depp II was born in Kentucky, USA on June 9th 1963. He dropped out of school at fifteen to pursue his dream of becoming a rock star. However, he soon turned his attention to acting and made his movie debut in A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984).

However, it was three years later in 1987 when he was cast in the popular television series 21 Jump Street (1987) that his career really began to take off. His performance led to appearances in movies Cry-Baby (1990), Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Benny & Joon (1993).

In the years that followed, Johnny established himself as one of the most accomplished actors of his generation with movies such as Donnie Brasco (1997), Chocolat (2000) and Finding Neverland (2004).
