Home and Away star Chris Hemsworth, has been talking about his win at the Logie awards last year.
The hunky young actor was named most popular new male talent last year, and Chris remembers the night fondly. He says, "It's a good feeling...You do a lot of hard work and it gets acknowledged."
However, he is quick to point out that in actual fact the Logie award hasn't really made much difference to his life. Chris says,
"Although it's great to win an important award like this, I wouldn't say that it's career changing."
In that respect the Logies do differ from the BAFTAs, the Oscars and the Emmys. In you win big at one of these ceremonies you can expect to receive a huge boost to your career, with more offers of work plus a significant salary increase.
It seems that Logie winners can only dream of these kind of benefits.
