Holby City has failed to pick up any awards at the The British Academy Television Awards which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Sunday 7th May 2006.

The popular BBC show was believed to have a good chance of winning the Award for Best Continuing Drama. However, Holby was beaten to the prize by the BBC's flagship show Eastenders.

Holby's sister series Casualty faired no better at the award ceremony. Despite some gripping storylines and impressive acting performances this year, the BBC medical drama walked away with nothing.

There is a growing feeling amongst Holby and Casualty bosses that the two shows are not getting the recognition they deserve.
