Holby City's new receptionist arrives at the hospital this week.
Shy character Alice Chantrey, who is played by beautiful actress Sam Grey, replaces Sam Bateman, who recently quit his job as the hospital receptionist to become a Health Care Assistant.
Sam is clearly delighted at landing a role in one of the BBC's highest profile dramas.
She says, "I'm really excited to be working with such skilled and talented actors on Casualty. It's a great opportunity to learn more. At the moment my real nerves are helping me to play the part of Alice as she's an anxious character."
Sam was a successful model, appearing in major campaigns for the likes of Burberry and Mulberry, before turning her attention to acting. Casualty is her first significant television role.
