Heather Mills to cut a divorce deal

Heather Mills is believed to be ready to accept an out of court settlement in her divorce battle with estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney.

The former model is reported to be willing to accept a £29 million cash and property settlement from the Beatles legend.

She had previously demanded £3.4 million a year for the rest of her life but some legal experts doubted whether she would be able to secure this.

The News of the World reports a source close to Sir Paul saying:

"It's amazing how quickly things have turned around. Heather has caved in on lots of things - including the money demands and sole custody of daughter Beatrice - and we now expect her to settle."

Paul and Heather announced their separation in May 2006, just prior to Sir Paul's 64th birthday. The pair married on 11 June 2002, four years after Paul's wife Linda McCartney died of breast cancer.
