| Frank Lampard Biography
Frank Lampard was born on June 21st 1978 in Romford, Essex.
From a young age, he was determined to follow in his father's footsteps and become a footballer. Frank Lampard senior played over 600 games for West Ham in the 60s and 70s.
Frank junior began his footballing journey at the West Ham United youth system, and quickly mad his way up through the ranks. In 1996, aged just eighteen, Frank made his Premiership debut against Sheffield Wednesday.
Frank established himself as the midfield lynchpin of the West Ham side and his performances soon impressed the England manager. Frank made his international debut against Belgium on October 10th 1999.
In June 2001 Chelsea paid West Ham £11 million to take Frank across London to Stamford Bridge. Since then he has gone from strength to strength for both for club and country. He has become a solid fixture in the current England side and he led Chelsea to back to back Premiership titles in from 2004 to 2006.
