Corrie' favourite Shelley Unwin is set to leave Weatherfield, after rekindling her relationship with unsavoury Charlie Stubbs.
The Rovers Return barmaid, played by Sally Lindsay, gives in to Charlie's charms but soon realizes what a mistake she has made.
A Coronation Street source is reported as saying, "Shelley thought she’d got rid of Charlie but he’s going to worm his way back into her life. Charlie wants revenge and eventually Shelley gets so desperate she decides to leave to escape him."
Talented star Sally is leaving the ITV soap in an attempt to further her acting career. Corrie bosses would love to welcome her back in the future, so have left the door open for a return. Sally joined Coronation Street in 2001 and has been one of the soaps most popular characters in recent years.
