Christopher Robert Evans was born on June 13th 1981 in Massachusetts, USA. He began acting at a young age, performing in school productions and community theater. He then moved to New York to attend the famous Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.

He made his first movie appearance with a small part in the film The Newcomers (2000). His first significant role came a year later when was cast in in the comedy-horror flick Not Another Teen Movie. However, in the years that followed, Chris' career didn't quite take off, appearing in just a handful of forgettable movies and television shows.

His big break finally came when he won the lead in the kidnapping thriller, Cellular (2004), alongside Kim Basinger. The movie didn't set the box office on fire, but it was clear that Chris had the star quality that Hollywood loves.

A year later, Chris was on his way to superstardom when he was cast as Johnny Storm a.k.a. The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four (2005). The comic book movie proved hugely successful and Chris has since signed on to appear in the two forthcoming sequels.
