Movie stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are expecting a baby together. The couple are said to be overjoyed with the news.

Angelina reportedly had a scan at Santa Monica's St John's Hospital in Los Angeles last month.

The baby will join Angelina Jolie's two adopted children, Maddox, four, and ten-month-old Zahara. Brad filed papers last month to become their legal father.

Brad and Angelina met on the film set of Mr and Mrs Smith (2005). Brad was still married to Friends star Jennifer Anniston as the time.

It is unclear whether Brad was unfaithful to Jennifer or if he waited until the separation before acting on his feelings for Angelina. However, it was widely reported that Brad and Jennifer were having marital difficulties before Angelina came along.
