Sun Hill welcomes two new recruits in January - PC Emma Keane and PC Lewis Hardy.
Middle class Emma, played by actress Melanie Gutteridge, is determined to prove to her high ranking father, that she can make it on her own in the police force.
Working class Lewis, played by Aml Ameen, has left the criminal days of his youth behind, and is now intent on building a career on the right side on the law.
The two characters are set to share much screen time as Lewis quickly develop feelings for his attractive colleague.
Emma is already going out with another guy but will she kick him into touch when she learns of her new admirer? Only time will tell.
