Introduction

Okay, at the moment Andy Murray isn't much of a sex symbol but give him a few years and he'll develop into a prime slice of Scottish beef. And of course, he's already one of the most successful tennis players we've ever had.

Sex Appeal Rating

Andy is still just a teenager so he's got quite a bit of growing to do. However, he's already a tall, handsome young man could soon become one of the biggest sporting stars in the UK, if not the world. Rich, famous, good looking, athletic, successful - it's fair to say he's got a few things going for him.

His Sexiest Moment

Andy's sexiest moment to date was in February 2006 when he won his first ATP tournament, the SAP Open. Not only did he beat some of the best players in the world on route to the final, but after beating Lleyton Hewitt to claim the title, he climbed over spectators to give his girlfriend a lovely big kiss. It was like Pat Cash at Wimbledon in 1987 all over again.

Andy Murray Biography

Andrew Murray was born on May 15th 1987 in Dunblane, Scotland. In 1996, he survived the Dunblane Massacre, in which 16 children and their teacher were killed at his primary school. Andy hid in the headmaster's office as the tragedy unfolded.

Soon after this lucky escape, Andy interest in the game of tennis intensified. By the age of ten he has beating boys five years his senior. In 1999 Andy won the prestigious Orange Bowl junior event in Florida. Five years later in September 2004, he then won the U.S. Open tennis Boys' title.

Andy's professional tennis career has moved at great pace. In 2005 Andy moved up an incredible 347 places in the world rankings, ending the year at number 62. He has since eased himself comfortably into the top 50, becoming British number one in the process.

In February 2006 Andy Murray claimed his first ATP Tour title in the SAP Open in San Jose when he came from behind to beat former world number one Lleyton Hewitt.
