Side effects from taking ginseng are rare, and you are unlikely to experience any problems as long as you don't exceed the recommended daily allowance. However, in a small number of cases, the supplement has caused nausea, diarrhea, headaches, and either high or low blood pressure. But before you rush out to your local vitamin shop or supermarket to buy ginseng, you should be aware that not all ginseng products are the same. As you would expect, the better the quality of the product, the more you will be expected to pay for it. Cheaper products containing inferior ginseng may not provide the health benefits you were looking for.
