Twenty years ago most women were happy to stay at home but today even happily married women want their financial independence. They want to make their own waves in the world and they want to earn their own money. But how can you combine a full time job with the roles of wife, mother and home maker? It can sometimes seem like an impossible task but there are ways to make it easier.

Time management

Even women without jobs can feel like there's not enough hours in the day. So what chance does the working woman have if she has to be a mother, wife and home maker as well as a bread winner? Fortunately, many hours can be recovered each day with a little time planning. Everyone needs time to chat on the phone, to watch television and to generally relax but if you count how many hours these tasks eat up each day you may be in for a shock. Some of us can fill an hour with practically nothing. For working women this hour can make all the difference.

Communication

Communication is important in all areas of life but it's crucial when you a working woman. You have to tell your husband/partner how you feel and be open to how he feels. If you have children you have to make sure they are ensure they have no issues about you working. Potentially long term resentment can be effectively addressed with a simple conservation. Some young children may not understand why their friends mums are always their for them and you're not. Unless you explain the situation to them they may spend years thinking you don't care enough about them.
