Beauty Tip 04. Spots, acne and pimples
Unfortunately, for millions of women, spots don't stop when adulthood begins.
Everyone is susceptible to pimples, even millionaire celebrities... just ask Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz.
Spots and blemishes occur when the sebaceous glands on your skin becomes inflamed due to bacterial infection.
The problem can be exacerbated further by the products we use to treat the spots which stimulate even more sebaceous activity.
Although there are no sure fire way to prevent spots, there are several steps you can take to reduce the likelihood of an outbreak.
Firstly, always remove your make-up before you go to bed because cosmetics block pores, and blocked pores leads to spots.
Unless you have very dry skin, try to use oil free beauty products to prevent the build up of grease on your face.
Keep you face as clean as possible but don't go overboard. A quick wash in the morning and a through clean in the evening is sufficient.
Avoid touching your face during your daily life as this transfers even more dirt and bacteria to your skin.
And finally, try to eat a healthy balance diet, low in sugar, saturated fats and refined carbohydrates.
