Beauty Tip 32. Make-up and lighting
The appearance of make-up can vary dramatically under different lights.
It really pays to consider where you're going and what type of lighting you'll be under, when you're applying your make-up.
For example, if you're going to be outdoors most of the time, you should try to apply your make-up in as natural a light as possible (i.e. close to the window).
If you happen to be going to a softly lit restaurant, perhaps with candle lighting, you should avoid harsh shades and tones around the eyes and lips which can look awful under gentle lighting.
And finally, the harsh lighting found in shops and bars drains colour from the face so go for warm make-up rather than pales and neutral.
