People often ask if they can have nose augmentation procedures on the NHS for free. Although cosmetic treatments are becoming increasingly common on the NHS, very few nose reshaping operations are carried out. In general, rhinoplasty is a purely cosmetic procedure, treating a condition that poses no health risk to the patient.

However, in some cares nose reshaping will be offered for free on the NHS. Treatment will be available in instances where the procedure forms part of reconstructive surgery following an accident. However, nose jobs are also sometimes carried out in cases where the patient has demonstrated that their nose is having a significantly adverse effect on their life.

It's not enough to simply dislike your nose. Your nose problem must be causing you serous mental or psychological problems for NHS doctors to consider carrying out reshaping treatment.
