Patients will feel no pain or discomfort during breast enlargement as the procedure is carried out under general anaesthetic You will be asleep for the entire operation, and wake up with wonderful new breasts.

However, when you do wake up you will probably feel tired and stiff. As your breasts have been pulled and stretched during the enhancement procedure, they may feel tight and uncomfortable Your surgeon will usually give you medication to ease this discomfort.

In the days following surgery, you may experience some degree of pain and tenderness. In most cases, this will be very minor, and will subside after a week. Pain relief can be taken if required.

Overall, breast augmentation isn't a painful procedure. Even patients with low pain thresholds should be able to comfortably cope with the mild tenderness following their treatment.
